Weather reports on Google Maps - Travel Easy

Planning a trip or want to check the weather before you go anywhere? Just login to Google Maps - you'll get all you want!! The search engine giant Google has announced the addition of a weather layer to its popular maps service, Google Maps.

The new weather layer on Google Map displays current temps and conditions around the globe. Google said that this new service will make travel and activity planning easier.

Google Maps users can add the weather layer by hovering to the widget in the right hand corner of Google Maps and by selecting it, users can see weather info on the map itself.
"When zoomed out, you’ll see a map with current weather conditions from weather.com for various locations, with icons to denote sun, clouds, rain and so on. You can also see cloud coverage, thanks to our partners at the U.S. Naval Research Lab. And, if you look closely, you can also tell if it’s day or night around the world by sun and moon icons," Google said in its blog.

Clicking on the weather icon for a particular city will open an info window with detailed data like current humidity and wind conditions, as well as a forecast for the next four days. Users can also adjust units for wind speed and temperature, and enable/disable clouds.
