LG Optimus Vu launched in India

 
LG Optimus Vu, LG’s own take on the phone and tablet combo aka the phablet, will be seen in the Indian market selling at Rs 34,500, according to the company’s website.

The Optimus Vu was showcased at the Mobile World Congress in February this year. Since it’s unveiling, the device has sold more than 500,000 units in Korea.

Both Optimus Vu and Samsung Galaxy Note II are top contenders in the phablet market with the Note II selling at Rs 39,000.

LG has put a 5-inch XGA IPS display with 4:3 aspect ratio and 768 x 1024 pixels on the Optimus Vu while the Galaxy Note II features a 5.5-inch Super AMOLED screen with 16:9 aspect ratio and 1280 x 720 pixels.

The Optimus Vu runs on an NVIDIA Tegra 3 quad-core processor clocked at 1.5GHz. It carries 1GB RAM and 32GB of internal memory. The smartphone also sports an 8MP rear camera and a 1.3MP front camera. It’s graced by Android Ice Cream Sandwich 4.0
