LG Announced 5.5 inch High Resolution Quad HD Smartphone Display

LG also known for its ace quality display has recently announced the world's first Quad HD AH-IPS LCD panel for smartphones. The display of the LCD panel comes at the size of 5.5-inches diagonally and offers an intense resolution of 2560x1440 pixels not only that but the display is said to have a pixel density of whooping 538ppi. This is the maximum resolution quality seen so far.

Moreover, to compare, this has 4 times more pixels than 1,280x 720 720p HD. As the result users can soon enjoy the ultra-premium and super display quality, which will obviously give a crisp, sharp and vivid image quality to the smartphones using the display. Moreover, It will offer a Blu-ray equivalent video quality to smartphones. Sadly, the company didn't disclose the availability of the display but surely, it'll feature on the smartphones next year. Last month LG also unveiled the world's slimmest Full HD LCD Display for Smartphone Measuring 2.2mm. 

On the announcement event, Dr. Byeong-koo Kim, Vice President and Head of LG Display's IT and mobile Development Group said "LG Display, which pioneered the high resolution mobile market with introduction of the world's first Full HD smartphone panel in 2012, again opens new possibilities with the successful application of QHD technology,". He further continued, "With this breakthrough, LG Display will continue to raise new standards for mobile resolution and lead the mobile display market." 

Last month LG Display introduced the world's slimmest 5.2-inch Full HD LCD panel for smartphones which is used in the LG G2. LG introduced the world's first Full HD smartphone panel in 2012. 

The display will also enable users to enjoy a full view of PC-version web pages at a single glance without image distortion. To talk about the dimension of the display, it only measures, 1.21mm thin with a 1.2mm bezel measured in LCD modules (LCM). The company also says that the since it is based on Low Temperature Poly-Silicon (LTPS) substrate, the panel also realizes superior brightness of 430nit with improved transmittance and larger aperture opening size.
