Steps To Create Proxy Website

To create your own Proxy Website you need to have your own website having WordPress installed in it and access of your WordPress Admin Panel.

Step 1 : Installing Repress WordPress Plugin

To create proxy website you first need to install Repress, A WordPress Plugin in your WordPress Blog. Only Install it, don’t activate it now.

Repress allows you to create your own Proxy Website on the same domain in which you have WordPress installed. You can also search the plugin directly from your WordPress Admin Panel.

Step 2 : Activating Repress

Activating Repress is not as simple as your other WordPress Plugin. That’s why, I break it into different step.

To Activate Repress WordPress Plugin, you first need to have the simple Permalinks structure as like www.yourdomain.com/proxy. This is  %postname% permalinks structure. If you are having different Permalinks then after login-in to WordPress navigate to Settings >>Permalinks and select the Post Name Permalinks.

Now, Go to Installed Plugins and activate Repress.

Step 3 : Configuring Repress To Create Proxy

After activating Repress, Go To Plugin’s Settings either from Installed Plugins or from Repress Settings available at Left Sidebar. Here, you have to first provide the permalinks address of your Proxy Website. The default Address is /repress. I take www.yourdomain.com/proxy so, I put /proxy at Repress Permalinks Option. See Below :

Now, you can add websites by clicking on “Add Site” Button.

This way you can run any website whether it is blocked by your country, ISP or your school’s WiFi connection is not allowing you to visit your favorite social networking website.
