The Japanese automaker stops the Final edition of Evo in auction

Great cars generally do not remain under production for a long run, therefore the Japanese automaker decided to stop the Final Edition of the model by auctioning it for a good purpose.

It is normally very difficult to purchase an automotive history unless and until the buyer is born with a silver spoon, but to everybody’s surprise the automobile company, Mitsubishi of North America has placed their last edition under the Evolution at auction for a good price on eBay. The eBay listing for the Final edition of the sedan stands with a bid at forty six thousand nine hundred dollars for a good purpose. Someone who spends it for his or her maintenance budget, but is used for a good cause does not use the amount got from the auction.

The legendary Final Edition
Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution is a four-door high performance car is a legendary model in the automotive industry. The company will stop selling this high performance sedan after a decade in the NA market. In a way to bid goodbye to the Lancer Evolution, the company had planned to offer only limited production of the model of about one thousand six hundred cars. The car is known for its pulse pounding performance and the last edition is produced with torque to 305 lb ft and the horsepower of about 303. To further enhance the vehicle, the Brembo brake rotors are used and are accompanied by Eibach springs are fixed at the corners and Bilstein shock absorbers are also used. All the cars in the final edition of the Lancer Evolution have a Super Wheel control for all the four wheels.

Features of Lancer Evolution
The 2015 Final edition of Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution model comes with some of the standard enhancement features.

Interior feature: The final edition has an animation meter display and has headliners, sun visors, black pillars and assist handles. It also has e-brake handles, shift knob, steering wheel and red stitch accent on the sports seats, console lid and floor mats. It has a glossy black console box that has its production serial number plaque as US1600.

Exterior features: The color of the Final Lancer edition is called the new diamond white pearl that has an aluminum roof that is painted in black and the exterior has the Final edition badge. The front grille surround and the Enkei alloy wheels are coated with dark chrome and have a glossy black center bumper with a hood air outlet. The vehicle has an automatic on and off bi-xenon HID (High Intensity Discharge) headlights with the leveling control.

Mechanical enhancements: The car moves at 303 horsepower at 305 lb-ft torque and have Brembo 2 piece rotors with Bilstein shock absorber and Eibach springs. The model is enhanced with turbocharged and intercooled 2.0 liter MIVEC DOHC 16 valve inline 4-cylinder.

House of Hope
The fund that is raised from the auction of the Final Edition of Lancer Evolution is transferred to the Feeding America, Riverside, and San Bernardino. This is a non-denominational and a non-profit food bank organization. The national food bank network, Feeding America offers technical assistance and training for the food banks and requests donation of food from the corporate level so as to distribute them to the food bank in nationwide. This was started in the year 1980 to put an end to two major problems, wastage of food and hunger. On an average the network offers ten thousand pounds of food to twenty nonprofit organizations every month.

 According to the current survey, the Feeding America is the primary source of food distribution for about six hundred charity organizations and nonprofit companies. They are also offering 2.5 million pounds of food to soup kitchens, group homes, and shelters for the abuse, after school programs, emergency food pantries, halfway houses, residential treatment centers, day care centers, homeless shelters and senior food programs. On an average every month around four hundred thousand children, women and men depend on the food banks centers.

EBay auction
The bidding for the great performance starts from September 8th, 2016 at 9 am and ends in September 15th, 2016 9 am. The listing on the online marketplace is managed by the auction management agency and there were certain conditions listed by the agency for the bid. The people those who are able to follow through the entire payment with one hundred percent surety are only allowed to participate in the bidding and they have to abide by the conditions and term mentioned by the online marketplace. If they identify any issues with any of the Id that is specified for the bidding, eBay has the right to reject such users. Since it is high profile bidding, the bidder has to prequalify to participate in the auction and is done as a process of security verification. By registering in the prequalification, the seller has the right to reject the bidding request or cancel the bids.

Payment process
All the bidders participating in the auction must have a PayPal account so that they can be verified using that identity. If a person wins the bid, they have to deposit five thousand dollars as an initial payment within forty eight hours or the completion of the bid and make full payment within three days of the completion of the auction. If the person fails to make the payment within the specific time, the auction agency selects the next highest bidder. The deposit amount is accepted through the PayPal and they have to send it to the Feeding America Riverside, San Bernardino and the payment must be made through the United States based bank wire transfer, cashier’s cheque or credit card. The person who wins the bid has to follow the requirements of the transfer, tax and title and these amounts will be assessed when they pick up the car and it will be similar to the process buying a car from the car dealer.

Responsibility of a winning the bid
All the costs that are associated with the winning of the Lancer Evolution like the license, taxes, release liability and the standard waiver are to be managed by the winner of the bid. The risk and the damages that are pertaining to the automobile should be taken care of by the person who wins the bid. The bidder must either personally or at the election must retrieve the Cypress of the vehicle or within fifteen days of the completion, they have to pay for the shipment of the vehicle and must produce the legal insurance document and the driver’s license. The shipping cost varies depending on the destination point and the seller works together with the winning bidder in transporting the vehicle to the destined place. To the destinations within the continental United States, the shipping cost is estimated to be between eight hundred dollars to two thousand five hundred dollars.

The Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution of the Final edition of US1600 was put in auction for $46,000. The bidding was closed on Thursday, September 15th, 2016 and the final bid was closed for $76,400. This fund will be given to the Feeding America, Riverside, and San Bernardino for a good cause.
