Google+ Project Glass - Review

Google is making prototypes of its futuristic, Internet-connected glasses accessible for website visitors to try on.

The company is selling these devices, called Project Glass, for $1,500 to opportunity seekers attending its annual conference in Bay area for computer programmers. It will eventually ship early the coming year and will not be on sale beyond your three-day conference, which started Wednesday.

“That is new technology and we want someone to shape it,” Google co-founder Sergey Brin told about 6,000 attendees. “You should have it out in the hands of passionate people asap.”

While using the glasses, directions on your destination can be shown literally before you. You’ll be able to talk to friends over video chat, take a photo or perhaps buy a few things online as you walk about.

In development for more than 2 yrs, the project could be the brainchild of Google X, the web search-leader’s secret facility that spawned the self-driving car and may even one day let people ride elevators into space.

Isabelle Olsson, an engineer for the Glass project, said the corporation came up with the glasses for those to have interaction with the virtual world without distracting them in the physical world. It’s built to interact closely with your senses, without blocking them.

She said Google had two broad goals planned: communications through images and immediate access to information. The device incorporates a camera to capture fleeting moments and invite others to discover the earth through your eyes.

Google demonstrated it a toronto injury lawyer parachutists jump out of the blimp above San francisco bay area. The viewers got live video feeds off their glasses while they descended to land on top of the Moscone Center, the position of the conference.
