The All New Gaming Mouse Exclusive for Games like Guild wars 2, World of Warcraft or Star Wars: The Old Republic So don't miss this mouse if you play these games or any of your favorite MMO's.
Some might think that Logitech has gone off the UI deep-end with its latest gaming mouse. It tops the company's previous efforts, and those of its competitors, with a total of twenty—count 'em twenty—programmable buttons.
Twelve of the buttons have found a home on a curved keypad on the side of the mouse, and with the G600's G-Shift functionality, they can all serve double-duty. It's of course designed and targeted at MMO gamers who live and die, literally, by shortcuts, and the custom configurations are actually stored on the mouse so wherever it's plugged in it's good to go. With a hefty $80 price tag it might not appeal to the average PC user. That is, until they realize that all those buttons are backlit and can cycle through 16 million colors, making this a veritable party in your hand. I am sure its more superior than any other mouse at the market.
Logitech's latest gaming mouse, the G600 MMO has been purposefully tuned to give the edge when playing massively multiplayer games such as World of Warcraft, Guild wars 2 or Star Wars: The Old Republic, going as far as to recruit Hal Hanlin, producer of MMO Rift, to get advice on how to get it just right.
With three default profiles – two for MMOs and one for general gaming – it is set up for optimal use right out of the box, no drivers required. In addition, it has a G-Shift function that easily doubles the number of actions you can perform with any button, giving you complete control in your favorite MMOs. As with all of our G-Series products, the keys are programmable so you can create your own commands, store them in the mouse’s on-board memory, and access them all with one touch. Plus, its sculpted shape comfortably supports your hand through long gaming sessions.
Housing 20 buttons, 12 or which are placed within easy reach of you thumb in two groups of six, each key is programmable, letting you attach macro commands to every button and buying you vital time during PVP sessions. A G-Shift key also adds an extra secondary function to each button, doubling the number of commands at your fingertips.
The majority of buttons are located on the left side of the mouse and are designed to be pressed with your thumb, much like the Razer Naga. Here you will find a bank of 12 programmable G-buttons in two sets of six. If you look closely you can see how the buttons on the two forward rows and the two back rows are angled slightly to create a concave effect. This allows quick and easy no-look navigation, according to Logitech
With 200-8200 dpi tracking, you'll be able to benefit from super-smooth scrolling at multiple speeds, For additional personalization, the thumb panel’s RGB illumination is fully customizable with more than 16 million possible color combinations that you can use to easily identify the active on-board profile. The lighting can be set to glow continuously, pulse on and off, continuously cycle, or dim after a user-determined period of inactivity., you get possible colour glows from the G600.
"This Logitech mouse is one of the best out there - and not just because they incorporated our feedback into the design," said Hanlin.
"There are so many abilities to keep track of in Rift, the difference between defeating a zone event or winding up at the graveyard can come down to seconds. Having all those G-Keys at your fingertips gives you an advantage."
"The Logitech G600 MMO Gaming Mouse is the result of intense, direct testing with experienced MMO gamers," added Mark Starrett, senior global product manager for Logitech.
"Countless hours of research went into the design of our thumb panel to make sure that it is as comfortable and easy to use as possible. And people will feel the difference in the buttons - they're sculpted to help reduce click fatigue and miss-clicks so you can play with greater precision for as long as you want."
