Asus Padfone 2 with Android 4.0




Asus has finally introduced the Padfone 2 after days of its images were leaked on the internet.

The Padfone 2 can be bought for USD 620 (Rs 32,739) and USD 750 (Rs 39,607). Customers will have to pay an extra USD 210 (Rs 11,089) for the Padfone station.

The Asus smartphone carries a 4.7-inch Super IPS+ 720p display with Corning Fit Glass. Screen size can be greatly increased by using the Padfone docking station, which has a 10.1-inch 1280 x 800 IPS display.

Asus has provided the next iteration of the smartphone-tablet combo with a 1.5GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro quad-core processor and 2GB RAM.

With NFC capabilities, the Padfone 2 comes with a 2,140mAh fixed battery and provides the user 50GB of Asus WebStorage for duration of two years.

The battery on the combo has been trimmed to 5,000 mAh.

The device carries a 13 MP rear camera with a 1.2 MP front-facing camera.

The Padfone 2 smartphone-tablet combo will house the Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, later upgrade to Jelly Bean is in the pipeline.

There is no official word on the Asus Padfone 2 pricing but the device will be will be sold in 16GB, 32GB and 64GB variants.
