A new site
has been reportedly developed which allows users to delete their web
trace from social media to retailer databases with much ease.
The site called JustDelete.me has been created by UK-based web developer Robb Lewis and provides users with a directory of URLs highlighting
links to pages that they want to remove themselves from.
The directory includes sites like Facebook, Foursquare, Dropbox and Feedly, Mashable reports.
The report said that some companies use ' dark pattern' techniques, making it difficult and tenuous to delete accounts but JustDelete.me ranks each site's deletion process from 'easy' to 'impossible'.
Sites like Amazon.com and NewYorkTimes.com are rated 'hard' to delete while movie directory IMDB.com and PayPal are listed as 'easy' but Pinterest and Netflix are rated 'impossible', the report added.
