The Last of Us is making its way to PlayStation 4 this summer,
according to a PlayStation Turkey executive. The PS4 edition of the 2013
critically acclaim PS3 exclusive title will come with enhanced
graphics.
Sony hasn't officially announced whether a port of Naughty Dog's PS3
survival horror game will be rolled out for PS4, but Playstation's
Eurasian Software Marketing Manager, Sercan Sulun, said that it will be
launched on PS4 this summer.
In an interview given to Turkish CNN, PlayStation's Eurasian Software
Market manager Sercan Sulun confirmed that the PS4 edition of The Last
of Us is indeed real and will be launched this summer.
There is no information about a new The Last of Us game but I can share
this knowledge; as of this summer, The Last of Us will be on the PS4.
Both on PSN and physically," Sulun said, according to IGN translation.
"The PS4 version will also include the DLC so you will be able to play
Left Behind as well."
Earlier this year, developer Naughty Dog teased that a PS4 edition of
the game could arrive sooner than expected.
In the comments section of PlayStation Blog US post, Monacelli responded
to a fan's request for The Last of Us on PS4 by saying, "We're just
getting our Naughty Dog engine up and running on PS4 as we work on the
next UNCHARTED project. We will see what the future brings! ".
In the meanwhile, Joystiq approached Sony Computer Entertainment Europe
to know more about the PS4 edition of The Last of Us.
