Redmi Note 8T Shows Up On NCC; Confirmed To Have NFC, 18W Fast Charging

Xiaomi just recently unveiled the Redmi Note 8 and the Redmi Note 8 Pro in India after their debut in China. But there’s another Redmi Note device that Xiaomi seems to be working on. After getting leaked a few days ago, the Redmi Note 8T has now made an appearance on Taiwan’s NCC certification website.

The Redmi Note 8T turns out to be very similar to the Redmi Note 8 with one major difference. The NCC listing states that the phone will also have NFC which the Redmi Note missed out on. The listing confirms the model number of the phone to be M1908C3XG. One last piece of additional information that it provides is the inclusion of a charger with support for up to 18W fast charging.

The earlier leak, courtesy of tipster Sudhanshu Ambhore, revealed almost everything else about the phone, including live images. The phone has a quad-camera setup at the back with a 48MP primary sensor. The setup is likely to be same as the one on the Redmi Note 8 which has a 48MP primary sensor, an 8MP ultrawide camera, a 2MP depth sensor and a 2MP macro lens. The image also reveals that the placement of the module matches that of the Redmi Note 8. The back of the phone also houses a capacitive fingerprint sensor.

The information sticked of the leaked live image further confirms that the phone will have a 6.3-inch dot drop display with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 and a 4,000mAh battery. Internally, since the phone is similar to the Redmi Note 8T, it’s expected to be powered by the Snapdragon 665 SoC. Sudhanshu also tweeted that the phone will be available in Moonshadow Gray, Starscape Blue and Moonlight White in three storage variants of 3GB+32GB, 4GB+64GB, and 6GB+128GB.
