Samsung Galaxy S10 Lite Appears On Geekbench; Beats The Galaxy S10

Rumours of an even cheaper Galaxy S10 phone by Samsung have been floating on the internet for a while now. But until now, we didn’t know for sure what the phone would bring to the table. The folks over at Geekbench spotted a listing of an unreleased Samsung phone that is thought to be the S10 Lite.

The model spotted on Geekbench 5 bears an SM-G770F model number. The listing reveals that the Galaxy S10 Lite will be powered by the Snapdragon 855 SoC which was also seen on the Samsung Galaxy S10, S10+ and S10e. Even the recently-unveiled Samsung Galaxy Note 10 made use of the Snapdragon 855. Although the Snapdragon 855+ is already available and the Snapdragon 865 is around the corner, the comparative affordability of the phone warrants for an older processor.

With 8GB of RAM, the phone scores 724 points the single-core department and 2,604 in the multi-core test which is, surprisingly, higher than what the regular Galaxy S10 scores. This could probably be explained by the possibility that the S10 lite might not have a display with QuadHD resolution.

As far as the design of the phone is concerned, we don’t have any renders or official images yet. But some rumours suggest that the phone will be identical in design to the upcoming Galaxy A91. The phone will have a 6.7-inch FulHD+ Super AMOLED display. The rear of the phone will have a triple-camera setup with a 48MP primary shooter. The selfie camera is expected to be a 32MP shooter. The battery is believed to be a 4,500mAh unit that will support 45W charging.

The phone is expected to be available in similar colourways of its elder brother: Prism White, Black and Blue. There’s no information regarding when the phone will be announced.
