Umi X2 vs JiaYu G4 vs Iocean X7: In this post I’ll
try to compare three new smartphones manufactured by three Chinese
vendors that are completely new in Indian market. First impression of
any buyer, are these handsets reliable? Hmm, specs are good but China
company.. Ha..What about after sales service? This is
quite obvious that all of you don’t want to change handsets in every 6
or 7 months. Therefore, you need a smartphone that is reliable, I mean
the brand is reliable and the specs are not outdated at least within a
year. Oh, yes after sales service is also important as your smartphone
can behave unnaturally at any time. You need someone to fix up
everything. Right? We have full HD display in Umi X2 and Iocean X7. JiaYu G4
flaunts HD display. Quad core processor, 2 GB RAM and 13 MP camera are
there in the 3 flagships. One thing I can say, safely assume these specs
will not get outdated so easily at least by the end of this year. Next
year you may see flexible display full HD smartphones with octa-core
processor, 4 GB RAM, 32 MP camera at around the same price tag but this
year it’s not going to happen.
Well, now you might be thinking whether these brands are more reliable than Micromax, Karbonn, Spice, Lava
etc or not. I can tell you virtually there is no difference as these
three Chinese manufacturers (or the other Chinese companies like Tino
Mobiles etc) work as OEM for companies like Micromax, Karbonn. So the
build quality or hardware are pretty much the same. But in one area Indian manufacturers get an edge over the OEMs is after sales service.
Chinese brands are fairly new. They will set up service centers in
limited areas. It will take some time before they can spread their
network across the country. Till then, bit of risk you have take. But I
can tell you features will satisfy you from all possible aspects. Zopo,
Mogu are couple of other vendors will join the quad core price war.
Let’s take a look at the spec sheet-
