Lava's premium smartphone subsidiary Xolo has unveiled its latest
smartphone called the A500s Lite at the price of Rs. 5,499. The company
has listed the handset on its official site. Xolo A500s Lite will be
offered in Black and White color variant and it will be going on sale
soon. One of the best thing that the phone has is the leather finish,
which we have already seen featured in several other handsets.
Xolo A500s Lite Smartphone With Leather Finish Announced At Rs 5,499
The smartphone is the successor of the A510s smartphone, which the
company launched couple of months back. However, the device is not as
impressive as the ones that are being launched in India off late. You
can basically call it as an entry level handset with a 3G connectivity.
Xolo A500s Lite comes with a 4-inch touch screen IPS display offering a
resolution of 480 x 800 pixels.
It is powered by a 1.3 GHz dual-core MediaTek MT6572 processor and
Mali-400 MP GPU coupled with a very less 512MB RAM. It runs on older
version of Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean).
Xolo has also provided a 3MP rear camera with LED Flash in the phone
along with a 0.3MP (VGA) front-facing shooter.
Connectivity options used in Xolo A500s Lite include 3G (HSDPA up to
21.1 Mbps; HSUPA up to 5.6 Mbps), Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 3.0 and
aGPS. Obviously, it is a Dual SIM (GSM + GSM) handset with Dual Standby.
Although I only houses 4GB of internal memory, there is no need to worry
as it can be further expanded up to 32GB via microSD card slot. A 9.2
mm thick handset is powered by a 1400 mAh battery.
But as said earlier, the latest offering from Xolo will not be able to
compete with the other phones that are being launched in India in the
recent days. Moreover, the toughest competitors of the Xolo A500s Lite
will be Micromax Unite 2, Canvas Engage and Moto E.
